Make-A-Wish Honorary Mountie

Heather Casidy, age 8, of Lodi was named as an Honorary Mokelumne Mountie in June, 2007. 

Heather was given both her quarter horse named Skippy and the Grand Marshal of the 2007 Clements Stampede title through the Make-A-Wish Foundation - a tradition of the Clements Buckaroos.  A couple of years ago, Heather was diagnosed with childhood neuroblastoma, a cancer of the nervous system.  Fortunately for Heather and her family, the cancer is in remission, and she is strong enough to ride her quarter horse.  Heather  was the first ever Make-A-Wish grand marshal to ride a horse in the rodeo grand entry.
