PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ATTEND

Who we are:   The Mokelumne Mounties is a 501c3 non-profit organization which seeks to enhance the lives of the youth in our community by providing a safe environment while helping to develop self-esteem, teamwork skills, leadership, and self  discipline.  The Mokelumne Mounties is open to girls and boys ranging in ages from 8 to 18.   The Mounties was formed in 1981 as a 4-H project.

What we do:    The team rides and trains their own horses to perform drills consisting of  spectacular and daring maneuvers to dramatic music, wearing striking silver, black and red uniforms, and custom made chaps.   The Mounties perform at rodeos, parades, and competitions throughout California and the Western states.   The Mounties also make appearances and volunteer at many other community events throughout the year.

Practices:      Spring-Fall practices on Wednesday and Sunday at the Clements Stampede Arena on Highway 88 in Clements, CA.   The team also has monthly general & board meetings.

Fees:    There are no membership fees or dues.  The team raises their own money through fundraisers and donations and uses the proceeds to purchase tack, equipment, uniforms and pay expenses for competitions.   The team has matching tack & equipment, and uniforms.   Each member must provide their own black boots, black hat and black Wrangler jeans for events and competitions.

Awards:   We have an annual awards & fundraising dinner every November.
